Science Theory, Comprehension and Practice

While many academies might offer fun activities without in-depth comprehension, at MCA we aim to combine a rigorous theoretical framework with fun and engaging experiments, videos and games. We think of it as East meets West mixing demanding standards with creativity and skill-building. (We use Fusion textbooks, or A Closer Look, and Google docs as online workbooks)
Chess - Concepts, Tactics and Training
In today's modern world of TikTok shorts and instant gratification, it has never been more important to learn chess. It teaches children focus, critical thinking, and creativity. Your child will need to focus on a single game, perhaps for hours, analyze their mistakes, and memorize complex systems. We have students as young as five learning tactical and positional ideas of chess. It's not just a game they'll enjoy for life, it will be with them every time they need to focus on any project for work or school.
English - Reading, fluency and writing
English has never been a more vital skill. For business, education, or travel everyone needs to learn English. English opens endless doors; You can order a cappuccino in Kazakhstan or talk to a Taiwanese quantum physicist in English. Think of what you'll learn with this linguistic super-power! We use a reading, discussion, and writing-in-response approach. Many schools shy away from writing because it's hard, but it's also vital. Children learn through reading and speaking but process and order those ideas via the writing process. We use acclaimed curriculums like Wonders, National Geographic, and Oxford Discover to offer a comprehensive English education.
